Ghost Diving at Garda Lake! Gargnano ~ 8-10 January 2026

Nel weekend siamo intervenuti a Gargnano per recuperare reti da pesca abbandonate, individuate già a dicembre. L’operazione ha richiesto due immersioni dedicate, durante le quali sono state rimosse più reti intrecciate tra loro a profondità comprese tra i 17 e i 39 metri, oltre a vecchie reti e cordame individuati a circa 6 metri. Il recupero ha rivelato un complesso molto più esteso del previsto: circa 150 metri di reti, per una superficie di 190 mq e un peso di 29 kg. Una situazione che rappresentava una grave minaccia per la fauna acquatica. Un altro passo importante per la tutela del nostro fondale gardesano. Over the weekend we carried out an operation in Gargnano to recover abandoned fishing nets first identified in December. The operation required two dedicated dives, during which several tangled nets were removed at depths ranging from 17 to 39 metres, along with older nets and rope found at around 6 metres. The recovery revealed a much larger structure than expected: approximately 150 metres of nets, covering an area of 190 square metres and weighing 29 kg. A situation that posed a serious threat to aquatic life.
