A Forgotten Genocide: The Pogroms in Ukraine, 1918-1919
May 16, 2016 Co-presented by Center for Jewish History and YIVO Institute for Jewish Research Discussion The pogroms of the Russian Civil War had a devastating impact on East European Jewry. By focusing on specific instances of anti-Jewish violence in Ukraine, and exploring the Soviet and international response, scholars of Russian Jewry and genocide studies will present new research rethinking the legacy of the pogroms.
