Behind the Scenes of a Nitro Team | From Setback to Semis

What started as a tough weekend in Phoenix turned into a full reset heading into Pomona. We kick things off just 2 days before Pomona with a professional photoshoot featuring Alexis DeJoria bringing out her ’59 Impala, ’67 Chevelle, and her Nitro Funny Car for an unreal shoot. From there, we rewind back to Phoenix where things didn’t go our way—early round losses and tough breaks—but the mindset stayed focused on bouncing back. Back at our California shop, the team gets to work with a brand new wrap on our dragster (something we usually handle in Indy), followed by a team dinner the night before race day—dialing everything in for Pomona. Then it’s go time. Pomona brought the energy for the 1000th Funny Car race, with a special appearance from Brittany Force and a full weekend of racing. Three drivers went out in Round 2, but one of our own pushed all the way to the semifinals.
