Segmented Ornaments with Mike McNeilly
For our June 2025 meeting, Mike McNeilly joined us in the studio and conducted a demonstration on turning a segmented ornament with finial. Mike has been turning since 2007, is a member of the AAW and turns all kinds of sizes and styles but also ventures into paint, dyes, texturing, carving, and pyrography. The coolest thing Mike says that he has ever turned was a reproduction of an 18th century wall canon for the Fort Dobbs Historical Society. The Waxhaw Woodturners meet on the first Tuesdays of each month at the McDowell Arts Center located at 123 E McDowell St. in Matthews NC. Please visit our website for meeting times, directions and more information. Visitors are always welcome! Waxhaw Woodturners http://www.waxhawwoodturners.com
