Mow my tiny garden lawn, surprisingly working with carrots and eggplants by the fire

In today’s video, I’m going to tell you about a morning when I realized I was still okay even though everything around me wasn’t easy. There are days here in rural Iran when I don’t need anyone to check on me. I just need to light a fire, get my hands busy, and let the smell of hot oil and wood smoke pull me out of everything weighing on my mind. Today, I cooked. I went out to the garden. I let the fire get a little out of hand and I didn’t regret it one bit. Because this isn’t a video about a perfect meal. This is a story about the feeling when you make something from start to finish with your own hands, sit down to eat it alone under the early morning sun, and feel your heart become lighter than any words of comfort could ever make it.
