Hoyt Axton tribute concert with Matthew Axton

Going through old hard drives I came across this concert that I recorded back in 2013, 14 years after Hoyt passed away. Donna, Matt's mother and Hoyt's wife and piano player, organized this concert which was performed at the El Portal theater in North Hollywood, CA. I realized that this recording had never been made public, so here it is and we hope Hoyt’s fans will enjoy this little bit of history. I had the pleasure to play guitar with Hoyt in the mid 70's and co-produce with Donna his last album, Spin Of The Wheel, in 1991. The band is comprised of former band members and features Hoyt’s son Matthew on lead vocals.
