Take The A Train with Close Voicings

Practice your close voicings with this famous jazz standard "Take The A Train"! Close voicings are often called "rootless voicings", or - when played in the left hand - "left hand voicings". For maj7 and min7 chords we use 9th chords (maj9 and min9) without the root. For dom7 chords we use guide tones + 9 and 13, again without the root. You can also use these left hand voicings to comp, so a backing track can be helpful to practice along!
