Doffing personal protective equipment (PPE) for high consequence infectious diseases (HCIDs)
This video by the Clinical Excellence Commission outlines the steps for doffing personal protective equipment (PPE) for high consequence infectious disease (HCID) using a P2/N95 disposable respirator with an added surgical hood and below-knee booties. This video will demonstrate how to safely doff your PPE without contaminating your clothing, skin or mucous membranes. This instructional video (please also see the accompanying donning video) has been developed by a panel of experts in consultation with relevant stakeholders after reviewing national and international guidelines. All health workers required to wear HCID PPE must undergo training in donning and doffing and be deemed competent by a recognised trainer.
