Sheila Majid - Legenda The Concert (27th November 1991 / Stadium Negara)

Sheila's fourth studio album, Legenda, was released in 1990 simultaneously in Malaysia and Japan. The album features reimagined modern interpretations of classics by the late Tan Sri P. Ramlee. This tribute to the great legends captured the imagination of the nation, and it’s no surprise that in the same year she was awarded the Ahli Mangku Negara (A.M.N), a federal honour, by His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong IX. Afterwards, a nationwide tour was in the works, and this time she had songs from Legenda, her best-selling album to date, to woo audiences with. Needless to say, the two-year tour was hugely successful, culminating in a record-breaking concert at Stadium Negara, Kuala Lumpur, on 27th November 1991. The performance drew over 10,000 people, the largest audience for a solo artiste in Malaysia at the time, and was digitally recorded for broadcast and home media releases.
