Red Komodo vs Canon C70

We went out and spent an afternoon testing Aarons Red Komodo with My C70. The C70 works out of the box for about $5,000 while the Komodo ends up costing closer to $7,000-$8,000 to work properly. For the price difference these cameras are actually very close in quality considering the C70 gives you XLR, Autofocus, internal ND, and a usable screen. I was surprised to find that as we started the cameras looked nearly identical, but as we introduced shades of blue it was wild how different each sensor began to intemperate colors. I never thought I'd be able to see a visible difference between 12bit raw and 16bit raw but it's very evident especially in the shots at sunset with the gradient of colors in the sky. While the red seems to slightly win on pure image quality alone, the c70 still comes VERY close and offers much more features for $2-3000 less than the red.
