As we commemorated World Patient Safety Day on September 17, 2023 I had the honor of joining MedSource Group Limited for a webinar on "Patient Engagement in Healthcare for Optimal Patient Outcomes." Having experienced the good, the bad of the healthcare system and now practicing as a healthcare professional, I understand the value of patient engagement in their care journeys. Unless a patient feels seen, heard and engaged in their treatment, they are unlikely to realize the desired outcomes. In my discussion, the main objectives were to: 1. Establish the need for patient engagement in healthcare service delivery. 2. Outline the business case for patient engagement in their healthcare practice. 3.
