NOTE FROM ÁGUAS DO PARÁ: Águas do Pará informs that a technical team is already monitoring the situation reported in the Boa Esperança neighborhood, taking the necessary steps to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Meanwhile, the concessionaire is maintaining emergency actions to reduce the impacts on the population, such as cleaning and unclogging the sewage network. The concessionaire emphasizes that it began operating water and sewage services in the municipality on April 1st of this year. Since then, it has been conducting a comprehensive survey of the conditions of the existing infrastructure and continuous work to recover and improve the systems, many of which require structural interventions to return to full efficient operation. NOTE FROM SEMMA/CITY HALL: The City Hall of Altamira, through the Municipal Secretariat for Environmental Management (Semma), informs that it is aware of the situation reported on Crisântemos and Lírios streets, in the Boa Esperança neighborhood. The Secretariat clarifies that it will carry out a technical inspection on site to assess the possible environmental impacts resulting from the discharge of sewage into the Ambé stream. If irregularities are found, appropriate measures will be taken, in accordance with current environmental legislation, in addition to notifying the competent bodies and institutions. Semma emphasizes that the operation and maintenance of the sewage system are the responsibility of the concessionaire Águas do Pará and reinforces that it will continue to monitor the case, within its attributions, aiming at the protection of water resources and the environment.
