Judith Raum describes her "Cotton Pieces" as enlarged interpretations of textiles patterns from the pattern books of the Helmbrechts House Weavers, who, working around 1900, exported saris, ponchos, prayer shawls and other products all around the world. In her works and lecture performances Raum reflects on both historical and socio-economic contexts and she combines these with individual questions.
