Modulo 11 – Età adulta: alimentazione e prevenzione della salute metabolica

➡️ Lesson 11 of the Video Course on Nutrition Across the Life Cycle. The eleventh module of Nutrition Across the Life Cycle explores adulthood, a stage in which nutrition plays a crucial role not only in maintaining body weight but, above all, in preventing major metabolic disorders and chronic diseases. The lesson begins with the pillars of daily diet, clarifying the role of fiber and carbohydrates, sugar management, and the importance of the nutritional quality of foods versus a simplistic view based solely on calories. It explains how to choose carbohydrates that are most beneficial for satiety, glycemic control, and intestinal health, and why the presence of fiber is one of the most important factors in metabolic prevention. Ample space is also dedicated to managing fats and proteins, with the aim of understanding how to distribute macronutrients more evenly, improve the quality of the diet, and reduce the risk associated with excesses, deficiencies, or monotonous and unbalanced choices. The module also addresses the role of micronutrients, salt, and alcohol, three elements often overlooked in daily practice, yet capable of influencing blood pressure, inflammatory status, general well-being, and medium- and long-term risk trajectories. A significant portion of the lesson is dedicated to comparing dietary patterns and their metabolic impact, helping to critically analyze different nutritional options and understand when an approach can be beneficial, when it's just a fad, and when it risks being unsustainable or unsuitable for a person's clinical context. A number of targeted clinical strategies are then explored, with a particular focus on MASLD (fatty liver disease associated with metabolic dysfunction), which is increasingly common in adulthood and closely linked to diet quality, excess energy, body fat distribution, and a sedentary lifestyle. The module also focuses on daily life and work-related stress, demonstrating how irregular rhythms, disordered meals, fatigue, poor sleep, and mental stress can alter hunger, food choices, and the ability to maintain behaviors consistent with one's health goals. The final section offers practical, realistic, and applicable solutions designed to improve dietary management, awareness, and adherence, without resorting to unnecessary rigidity or unrealistic models. This video lesson is designed for those who want to understand adult nutrition in a more concrete, modern, and preventative way. ➡️ Information and insights at the link: https://www.scienzedellanutrizione.it #scienzedellanutrizione #nutrizionenelciclodivita ************** ➡️ My website: https://www.depascalis.net ➡️ Stay up to date by subscribing to my YouTube channel: https://www.depascalis.net/youtube ************** 🍎 Need a nutritionist?
