'He captured the spirit of Manchester!' | Stars pay tribute to Stone Roses legend, Mani Mounfield

Friends, family and famous faces from the music world and beyond are saying their goodbyes to Stone Roses star Gary 'Mani' Mounfield following his death. The funeral of the local legend, who died last month aged 63, is taking place at Manchester Cathedral, with a number of stars among the guests at the memorial service. It has been confirmed by the musician's family that he passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 20. Mani's death came almost two years to the day after losing his beloved wife Imelda, who passed away, aged 50, on November 18, 2023. She had been diagnosed with stage four bowel cancer in November 2020.
