Bridget Jones’s Diary (2001): Quitting & Starting Over Full Scene

Bridget (Renée Zellweger who also starred in Jerry Maguire and Chicago) is trying to find a new job on television so she doesn’t have to see her boss Daniel (Hugh Grant who also played in Notting Hill, Love Actually and Four Weddings and a Funeral) everyday. She has a couple of interviews but every time she’s lying about her motivation, pretending to be interested in what area the job is in, and every time she fails. At some point, she gets an interview with a man and she is honest with him, she tells him she had an affair with her boss and that’s why she wants a new job, and it works. When she announces to Daniel that she quits her job, he tries very hard to convince her to stay, even doing a speech in front of all the office, but she drags him down in front of everyone and they laugh about it.
