I Built a River Ecosystem Tank in My Basement (90 Day Evolution)

A free 55 gallon aquarium (48 inches long, 13 inches wide, and 20 inches high) gets a new home, and becomes a new world for some fascinating creatures. High flow, lots of gaps and holes for hiding, and high surface area for feeding make this tank ideal for four unique and perfectly evolved species. Follow along on the journey from building the stand, creating a high-flow manifold, and observing 90+ days of growth and change. What was once an empty tank is now a well-established ecosystem that is interesting to watch and follow along as species (rainbow shiner, blue neon goby, hillstream loaches) interact and grow together.
