Noodler's Ink "Boston Safety" pen

maintenance/repair video supplement for those who want to change feeds/adjust feeds/adapt feeds/or replace feeds on their Boston Safety Pen:    • Boston Safety feed replacement or adapting...   Please note that I am determined NOT to penalize early adopters of this pen (so don't bother saying "the price is too low/you can't meet demand/etc..".). This idea in technology marketing that a terabyte of memory storage was $1 mil. for early adopters and that it was OK for the cost to fall to $44 just years later has no equivalent in Noodler's fountain pens ( http://www.mkomo.com/cost-per-gigabyte ) . The safety is being priced based upon a reasonable set of expectations and cost structures looking forward many years from now...so as to achieve a balance whereby early adopters are highly likely to perceive that they did indeed receive a bargain from their original purchase price years before.... The safety pen is perhaps the most "adult" of all fountain pens - the pen your great grandmother most assuredly would NEVER let you play games mocking "Shakespeare" or "Joseph Conrad" as a toddler, and would instead hand you some crayons, thick chalk, or some ball point. This is the forbidden fruit of fountain pens - the pen within the domain of rarefied artists - the pen that will invariable make a mess for the less skilled and less careful among us. You have been warned....!! Enter this world at your own risk of inky fingers and stained desktops - for the oldest and first of the safety fountain pen designs - the Boston Safety...awaits you from the late 19th century!
