Now I like to think I have a little more knowledge on the subject and I figured we would break Manual hub lockers down and see what exactly is going on. so first hub lockers are use to disengage the front driveline from the wheels so when the front wheels turn they are not turning the front axles, then the front differential and the front driveshaft. there are a couple of advantages of this like less wear and tear on the front driveline components and some potential fuel savings because of less drag. now when we actually lock the hub lockers to the front driveline we then spin the front driveline. but this does not mean that the front wheels are always goign to get equal amount of power because we have to remember we are still going through an Open front differential. Lastly I take apart a hub locker and show you guys how they are actually working - turns out its a very simple set up that either locks the hub to the axle or does not!
