FOBBV ~ SHADOW BRINGS LUNA TWO FISH FOR DINNER WHILE SUB ADULT WATCHES THEM FROM TWIN PINES😲 7.21.26

Shadow has been amazing being the sole parent & provider for Sandy & Luna while Jackie is getting treatment at the Ojai Raptor Center. Shadow brought six fish to the nest for Sandy & Luna even with the sub adult doing flybys and perching in the Twin Pines watching him and the nest. In the morning Shadow delivered three fish and Sandy ate them all as Luna was not around. The video opens with Shadow flying into the nest and is alerting because the sub adult is seen flying overhead. Shadow continues to alert until the sub adult has left the area. Shadow brought fish #4 and Sandy ate it even with Luna home. Shadow delivers fish# 5 & 6 and Luna is there to claim both fish and eat them! What makes these deliveries even more amazing is the sub adult was a heartbeat away perched in Twin Pines watching Shadow and the nest the entire time! The sub adult did not interfere in these deliveries or try to steal the food and appears to be sleeping in the TP tonight. Both Sandy & Luna are home & roosting in the nest tree while Shadow retired to the Roost Tree. We miss you Jackie and hope that you will be able to get better and return home in the near future.
