TRIBUNCIREBON.COM - A joint team from the National Police Headquarters and the Jakarta Metropolitan Police (Polda Metro Jaya) conducted a large-scale search operation at a luxurious two-story house in the Sentul area, Babakan Madang, Bogor Regency, West Java. The rigorous search, which took place from Wednesday (July 8, 2026) evening to Thursday (July 9, 2026) morning, was related to the investigation into alleged large-scale corruption and money laundering (TPPU) in the coal management of PLN, PT Asabri, and PT Krakatau Steel. In no small measure, inside a steel safe in the luxury house, officers found seven suitcases containing evidence of staggering value: 74 kg of gold bullion and stacks of foreign currency with a converted value of IDR 476 billion! All of the evidence was transported using a Brimob vehicle for security purposes. In addition to Sentul, officers also searched The Clan Signature Cafe in Cipete, South Jakarta, and found a secret safe behind a wall containing Rp 60 billion and confiscated Rp 7.2 billion from a money changer.
