Ultralight Gear that GOT ME BACK | Tour du Mont Blanc (TMB) Thru Hike | Wild Camping

Thanks for stopping by to my first video! I did face a variety of conditions on my thru hike of the Tour du Mont Blanc. The Alps did not hold back on this 105miles/169km loop through Switzerland, France and Italy. Temperatures ranged between a heat wave at 95F/32C to below freezing with substantial wind chill. This ultralight gear which includes camping equipment has kept me safe and comfortably got me back to the starting point. Since I did also sleep at Refugios and in towns I did bring things like hut shoes, additional clothes and comforts such as a long cable to charge my electronics (not quite UL therefore). Food resupply options were plentiful. I carried at most a day of food and at the very least one meal. This enabled me to spontaneously stay at Refugios without worrying about reservations. In hindsight I would add fleece gloves or rain mitts for the ascent in blizzard like conditions I did. This might have prevented me from filming what little I managed though. The gear that failed was my rain skirt and my last season's water filter that clogged up (Sawyer Squeeze). Both items have 2k miles plus on them so I would definitely recommend them.
