The most peaceful 🕊 acrylic dutch pour painting I've ever made.

As an artist, do you find it difficult to create for yourself? I find that I can be my own worst critic when it comes to creating or designing for myself. I have a tendency to get stuck in my head and frozen by indecision. I finally worked up the courage to tackle this 3-panel acrylic dutch pour painting for my family room stairwell. The colors needed to be custom mixed to coordinate with the colors of our walls, floors and other artwork in the room. To make this set of paintings even more challenging, I had to custom mix the colors in large batches to make sure I had enough for all 3 panels. Phew! A lot of obstacles to overcome in this one, but I am proud to say that I am very happy with how they turned out! Here is my best attempt at explaining how I created the custom colors for this painting. All colors were mixed with approximately 2 parts American Floetrol to one part paint, and water to thin. Base colors: Chalky blue (bottom): Liquitex Cerulean blue, Amsterdam Titanium White, and a couple different oranges to tone down the brightness of the color.
