Golden Descents // El Teide, 35km from 2080m to sea level (Los Gigantes)

The absolute fastest road descending from 2000m to sea level. The gradient is a constant -7% and the road almost straight with only a few curves. The KOM of the first part of the descent belongs to no other than Wout Van Aert with a crazy 82km/h avg 😁. This part of the island tends to be super windy and is fully exposed, the cross winds can sometimes be treacherous. Along the way, I was fortunate enough to pass along riders of the Israel Start-up Nation pro cycling team and the 4x Tour de France winner Mr Chris Froome was there, together with Alexander Cataford and Daryl Impey. They allowed me to ride a bit with them ;) //BIKE BMC Timemachine Road 01 Three //GEAR GoPro Max - Stuntman Chest Mount GoPro Hero 9 - saddle mout //Recording Date 16/03/2021 #cycling #bmc #gopromax
