Deploying Azure landing zones with Terraform Stacks

Azure Landing Zones lay the foundation for adopting Microsoft’s Cloud Architecture Framework. While you can deploy them with the massive Terraform Registry module, sequencing resources across multiple subscriptions is no easy feat. Enter: Terraform Stacks! With Terraform Stacks, I could finally sequence deployments, loop through Azure subscriptions, and manage multiple environments seamlessly. In this session, I’ll show how I adapted the ALZ module for Terraform Stacks, deploying both platform and application landing zones in Azure. If tackling the ALZ module feels overwhelming, you’re right—and I’ll show you how to make it manageable with Stacks.
