A sand dune is the slowest animal on earth, moving a few metres a year as the wind lifts each grain over its crest and drops it down the far side. The intro is that grain-by-grain patience, a single guitar phrase repeating like wind over a ridge. The crescendo is a sandstorm at midnight, the whole arrangement lifting and roaring.
