I don't envy Irish housemaids of days gone by. This heavy Irish linen glass cloth towel requires some degree of patience. I begin with two rinses, and then wring out the towel carefully--water droplets splashing here and there--before laying it out on the ironing board with a cloth beneath to absorb some of the moisture. There's steam coming from the iron as well as from the wet cloth towel. Still, it takes several passes in each area to get the wrinkles out.
