Monster tyre unloading with Diversion!

This POV truck driver video starts with a diversion that quickly turns into a reminder of how complicated route planning can be when you're driving a large truck. Some roads simply aren't suitable for HGVs, and while diversions are designed to help, sat navs don't always understand temporary road changes. Mine kept trying to send me back towards the closed route, making the journey far more frustrating than it needed to be. Eventually I made it to the delivery point where I was unloading large industrial tyres. Before the forklift could take them away, I had to roll each tyre to the back of the trailer, giving the unloading team access to collect them safely. It's a simple job on paper, but moving huge tyres around still takes a bit of effort. This is another great example of real truck driver life. Sometimes the unloading is easy but getting there is the challenge. Between diversions, unsuitable roads, traffic, and route planning, truck drivers often spend as much time solving problems as they do driving.
