Watch here    • Grand Performances presents Mia Doi Todd C...   The title track, “Music Life” reflects on the emotional and physical dangers of being a musician. “It can be a more terminal life than other paths,” she explains. “There are some risks involved. You put yourself out there. I wrote that song after returning from a friend’s memorial service.” Unpretentious but dramatic, the song moves with a relaxed pace, but with a dark, afflicted gaze at the world. Mia Doi Todd "Music Life " is part of Grand Performances' long-standing history of collaboration with COLA (City of Los Angeles) Department of Cultural Affairs, which honors creative artists with distinguished records of innovation and experimentation.
