2024 BMW 5 Series G60 (520d xDrive) review - Bigger AND Better?

The G60 5 Series is about the same size as a short-wheelbase 7 Series from a decade ago and you certainly notice it has grown up. It is about 10 centimeters longer than the G30 it replaces, it has more room for passengers, but it also has a smaller trunk, and it's not quite as agile around the bends. Its bigger body also means it's lugging around about 100 kg of extra weight over its predecessor, and between this, the longer wheelbase, and the very light steering, this feels much more limo-like to drive than any previous 5 Series.
