Black Desert Lore - Overall Timeline [1/2]

Welcome to our first entry for this series of videos exploring the setting of Black Desert. Today, we're proud to share with you half of a very summarized timeline of events. The wild cat living in my garden asked me to give the following clarifications: 1. How many trees are there!? In this video, the following ones: Elvia's original tree of light (Sylvia) Black Desert's Kamasylve tree (Sylvia) Elvia's black Kamasylve tree (Hadum) Black Desert's Quturan (Thornwood Goddess) Black Desert's Turasil (Quturan + branch of Kamasylve tree) (mentioned) 2. Remember, we're talking thousands of years between the initial events: ◆ From Sylvia being dethroned from Elvia by Godr-Ayed, to the Luthraghons summoning Hadum to dethrone Godr-Ayed, thousands of years passed. ◆ From Hadum lording over Elvia, with the Luthraghons defending the gateway between worlds, to the present, thousands of years have passed as well. 3. Now for precise timestamp clarifications! 05:40 Forgot to mention it in the video, but the reason the Luthraghon defended the last branch under the roots was because this one did connect to Black Desert's world. They had to protect it so Hadum wouldn't cross and harm Sylvia and their sisters. 06:10 The note at the top right is important. Considering thousands of years passed between events in Elvia, everything from the date -8,000 EC might have happened while Elvia was still controlled by Godr-Ayed. Hadum's takeover might be a lot more recent. For all we know, perhaps even more recent than the next section at 4,000 years ago. 06:15 "From what sources we have, this appears to be the Astran Empire" is now 99,99% wrong! Taking into account newer entries about Edania and Sycraia, together with old texts from there and Atoraxxion, Astran appears to be from way before Rux's time. Several sources inside and outside the game make a point of calling him Rux of Kabua, and we now know Kabua spanned the continent by his time. 08:40 While the date is taken from the official website, keep in mind that the way dates are portrayed there is more of a section division than an actual date for when things happened. Everything written inside the section of -4,000 EC could have happened between -4,000 EC and -1,000 EC. 11:20 That is why this warning exists. While it is likely for Dahn Go's ascension and Labreska taking the Ynix to have happened around -4,000 EC, the other events likely happened hundreds, if not thousands of years after, but longer ago than -1k EC for sure. At any point between the two dates. That also gives leeway for the oral story of Ynix being created to destroy Kzarka, when Labreska found Ynix thousands of years before Kzarka was a thing (that we know of). 4. Lastly, I can hear you saying: "But so many important things happened in every event that was glossed over in a minute in the video!" "The video doesn't say the truth about the black spirit "invasion" of -8,000 EC!" "You forgot to mention the Grass Beetle-Stoneback Crab Hyper War of -8,700 EC!" And you are right. This is a very summarized timeline of events. Everything about each one of the topics mentioned throughout the video can have its own video.
