The Rad Power Bikes RadMission 1 is the lightest, most affordable electric bike from Rad Power Bikes. Available in two frame sizes and styles including a sturdy high-step diamond and approachable mid-step mixte. Six color schemes let you personalize the bike and stand out, which is rare for cheaper electric bikes. Lots of attachment points for optional fenders, racks, baskets, bottles, and frame locks. Surprisingly powerful geared hub motor offers 50nm of torque. Single speed drivetrain is quiet, durable, and simple to use. An aluminum alloy chainring guide and chain tensioner reduces the potential for drops. Kenda Kontact puncture resistant tires, steel torque arm, stainless steel hardware, rust resistant chain, DNP freewheel sprocket, and sealed bottom bracket make the bike durable. Reflective tires and Spanninga integrated lights improve safety. The headlight offers 40 LUX and the rear light has solid, blinking, and bright mode when braking. Both brakes have motor inhibitors to cut power instantly when stopping. Sealed 14-pulse cadence sensor and variable speed twist throttle are intuitive and responsive. At 47.8lbs, it's heavier than other single speed ebikes I've reviewed, but also offers a higher weight rating of 275lbs and has a front basket mount. Geared high with 50 tooth chainring and 16 tooth rear cog, designed for slow steady pedaling... most comfortable when it's up near 20mph. New 504 watt hour battery pack is smaller than Rad's other batteries, but it's lighter and still offers 48 volts for efficient power delivery.
