El hombre de 11.000 años del Metro nunca apareció aquí.

The Balderas station on Line 1 of the Mexico City Metro features, on its historical information panels, a reference to the oldest archaeological find in the entire network: the skull of a man who lived 11,000 years ago. They call it the Balderas Metro Man. That name has been in the wrong place for 57 years. The skull was found during the construction of Line 3, between Independencia and Juárez streets. The nearest station is Juárez. The National Institute of Anthropology and History documents this in its technical records. The confusion has been reproduced for half a century on the Metro's website, on station signs, and in commemorative publications about the system. The file containing the correct information is in the National Archaeological Archive, in the lobby of the National Museum of Anthropology. It can only be consulted in person.
