Today I'm taking you to the Klong Toey district, Bangkok's oldest and largest neighborhood, where two completely opposite worlds coexist within a short distance of each other. We begin in the largest ghetto in all of Thailand, home to more than 150,000 people in precarious conditions, on land that doesn't even belong to them. Some local children become my guides and show me the neighborhood and their reality. Afterward, I visit the Duang Prateep Foundation, an incredible organization that has been fighting for decades to give the children of Klong Toey access to education, healthcare, and opportunities. I have the privilege of speaking with its founder and one of its staff members, and what they tell me will leave you speechless. And to wrap things up, I travel to the other side of the same district: Sukhumvit. Skyscrapers, 5-star hotels, Michelin-starred restaurants, high-end cars, and luxury brands.
