The Sharpest 35mm Film Setup I Could Build!

How sharp can 35mm film really get? In this video, I push 35mm film to its absolute limit using Leica Monopan 50, the Leica MP, and the Leica 35mm APO lens—arguably the sharpest setup you can build for street photography. I head out into London to shoot street photography on black and white film, before developing and scanning the film myself using the Leica M11 Monochrom and APO lens to extract as much detail and resolution as possible. This isn’t about great photos—this is a real-world test to see how much resolution 35mm film can truly deliver. If you’re into Leica, film photography, street photography, or black and white film—this one’s for you.
