The Kerguelen Islands | France's Antarctic Archipelago
The Kerguelen Islands, also known as The Desolation Islands are an incredibly interesting archipelago. Discovered quite recently in human history, this previously uninhabited group of islands exists as a nature reserve manned by teams of scientists who rotate twice a year. It's not quite the Antarctic, and it's not quite France, it's the Kerguelen Islands. Well that was a doozy. I need to lie down for a bit. Note: Instead of "ancestors of ship cats" I meant to say "descendants of ship cats" but unless you're a swathy homunculean creature of some sort or variety then you could tell what I meant. -Chapters: Intro (00:00) What are the Kerguelen Islands?
