Trim Bottom of a Door with Circular Saw | How to Cut or Shorten Interior Doors that Rubs Floor

Sometimes you need to trim a door to account for new floors, or perhaps you bought a home where this is happening. Regardless, trimming the bottom of your door to stop the rubbing is easy and will make your life so much easier! All it takes is using a screw driver and hammer to remove the pins holding the door on the hinges, then drawing a straight line with a pencil, using the circular saw (nice and slowly!) to take the bottom of the door off. Ideally, you want to prime and paint the bottom to avoid any issues with moisture, but it will be just fine as a bedroom door.
