While The Beach Boys In Concert had been released a month prior, the band was still touring across the United States with a very similar setlist, and this particular show comes exactly two weeks before Blondie Chaplin quit the band. Rich's film is historic for Beach Boys live shows - it contains the first known footage of Funky Pretty and We Got Love, as well as the only color footage of Marcella. Rich had an excellent seat and captured very great, extended shots of the entire band. Syncing this was a little trickier. As there is no recording of this show, I used recordings from Colby, Hartford, and Philadelphia from across the year in order to sync this as closely as possible. In the end, I think it turned out well, but it would be amazing for a recording of this show to turn up. This is easily one of, if not the best film on our channel, and we extend our thanks to Rich for allowing us to share it!
