The electric VLE is a "grand limousine," they say at Mercedes. And yet we still tend to think of it simply as a people carrier. That's not surprising, because the current Mercedes EQV is simply an eVito. Both are based on the fuel platform of the Mercedes W447, which is available as the V-Class, Vito, and Metris (in North America). The VLE is the first vehicle to utilize the new, modular VAN Electric Architecture. It shares only its underpinnings with the upcoming eVito and differs significantly from its commercial vehicle sibling.
