The Best, meh and Worst anime of 2023

Finally, the end of year video is here. Definetly gonna ruffle some feathers with more than a few of the choices but hopefully I've made a convincing case here. Great 1. Attack on Titan: Final season part 3 An absolutely fantastic ending to one of the greatest anime 2. Hell’s Paradise An epic decent into the beautiful corner of hell 3. Demon Slayer: Swordsmith arc Proof that a true artisan will give their all in honing their craft 4. Helck Filled with comedy, great characters and a surprisingly deep narrative, Helck is something that shouldn’t be ignored 5. Dr Stone: New world Couldn’t ask for more fun than watching Dr Stone Good 6. Tearmoon Empire Great comedy, decent characters and a delightful tone all wrapped in a truly unique premise. Quite the gift last year 7. Apothecary Diaries An outstanding portrayal of the ancient Chinese palace filled with excellent characters, interesting storylines presented in a truly charming manner 8. Jobless Reincarnation season 2 This show remains a great in-depth character-focused show with an incredible portrayal of Rudeus’s despair and growth. Just a shame about that one horrible scene 9. Record of Ragnarök part 2 Hercules fights Moriarty. What more do you want? 10. Saving 80,000 Gold for my Retirement No subtly at all here and it’s fantastic 11. Kana of the Great Snow Sea It may have some really stupid moments but the world and how it’s shown is truly superb 12. Spy Classroom season 2 This season has lept off the rather tedious first season and made something quite good 13. Goblin Slayer season 2 This season has stumbled off the great first season and is now plodding along doing the same thing 14. Mashle BARRY TROTTER HERE 15. Reborn as a Vending Machine Expecting an absolute disaster but got a fairly alright show 16. The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess Tone was flip flopping between comedy and tragedy but overall an enjoyable experience 17. Reign of the Seven Spellblades THERE’S SIX OF THEM! 18. Spy Family season 2 Wouldn’t even say it was plodding along as there’s not any progress made at all. Still got some funny jokes but was hoping for a lot more Unfinished (sorry) 19. Frieren So far it brilliantly shows the life of an immortal being starting to endeavour to connect with humanity Meh 20. Shy Kind superheroes fight mean villains 21. Eminence in Shadow Tone’s an absolute mess, characters are terrible and plot is absurdly complex. Were at least a few fun moments that kept it sinking any lower but certainly not something good 22. Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead You were the chosen one! You were supposed to destroy depression, not worsen it! 23. Dead Mount Death Play Became so unfocused it couldn’t even keep the fun carnage enjoyable 24. Firefighter Daigo: Rescuer in Orange They’re firefighters 25. I'm Giving the Disgraced Noble Lady a Crash Course in Naughtiness How did I end up watching this 26. Giant Beasts of Ars Could this be the most convoluted plot on this list? 27. Overtake! The protagonist was an idiot and leached off someone crying in private. 28. MF Ghost zzzz 29. Justice League x RWBY part 1 But why though? 30. Reborn to Master the Blade Adventure over, now back to school 31. Bofuri season 2 They play the game 32. Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear Punch! Wouldn’t even suggest it to actual children 33. Revenger “Murder is wrong.” Has someone who enjoys slowly ripping apart people’s throats 34. Heavenly Delusion “Where are we going?” Repeat for all episodes 35. Demon Sword Master of Excalibur Academy A whiny kid take orders from obnoxious teenagers. 36. Ron Kamonohashi's Forbidden Deductions Why try to piece together a mystery when you can have it immediately solved. After all, people enjoy escape rooms because they can just instantly use the door. 37. Shangri-La Frontier Would much rather watch his playthrough of the trash tier game Bad 38. Vinland Saga season 2 You can add the greatest music and animation the world has to offer but if it’s attached to something that has all the depth of a toddler’s paddling pool then it’s all for naught. 39. Witch from mercury season 2 Was hoping for something exciting to happen after the first season’s finale 40. Make My Day Mado my day bad. 41. A Playthrough of a Certain Dude’s VRMMO Life The only interesting thing was that someone actually wrote the title 42. Ningen Fushin Awww, you think you’re a good anime 43. Endo and Kobayashi Live! Shame they weren’t going for a genocide run Terrible 44. The Legend of Heroes: Northern War The legend of the worst spies imaginable 45. Liar Liar Truly dire 46. RWBY season 9 It appears evident the people now in charge of RWBY desire to tear apart everything that made the series good.
