Time for Tea with Rebecca, a Clinical Biochemistry STP

Hi everyone! I spoke with Rebecca this week, she’s a first year Clinical Biochemistry STP. I’ve had a few requests for a chat with a biochem trainee so hopefully this gives a bit of an idea about what they get up to and helps you decide if you want to be involved too! She was the education secretary for her uni society and arranged talks with people about the STP so it’s funny that we’re here now with her giving some insight. Clinical Biochem is pretty much exclusively lab based so something to consider if you would prefer to not be patient facing! There’s lots of Biomedical Scientists too so it’s interesting to see where the Clinical Scientists fit in - always good to know about the different roles in your specialism before you decide which to go down :) I hope this helps!
