Vorshlag is J-series V6 swapping an 86?? Reasons EXPLAINED!
After a short post about J-swapping our 2013 FRS sort of "blew up" (2000+ likes, 300+ comments) on FB, we decided to make a detailed video explaining WHY we are doing this swap: a Honda J37 V6 into a 2013 FRS with a Mazda RX-8 transmission. In this "short" 25 minute video, Terry explains the SCCA Time Trial racing class we want to build for (Max4), along with the minimum weight and engine displacement limits (2700 pounds w/ driver, engine up to 3.7L), and how we zeroed in on this very compact Honda SOHC V6. We have weights of the engine and transmission, and get into the variables that drove the RX-8 transmission choice, too. This is longer than any single video we've ever produced, and it took a lot of hours to edit / add images and captions, so we'll see how well this video does - with likes and views. Thanks for watching!
