The name Baati Chokha has been derived by combining both the names. This restaurant incorporates VILLAGE COOKING and its techniques, where all the dishes are prepared live. Varanasi has a lot of similarities from the street food of Bihar and this restaurants serves some of the lost recipes of RURAL Bihar that is a common VILLAGE FOOD in India. The whole Village and the cooking process of India has been setup in the 22 year old Baati Chokha Restaurant in Telibagh, Varanasi. We tasted the Paneer Baati and the traditiona Sattu Baati along with Chokha. Smoky Dal, Chaas and Kheer was also served along with Phara, Dal Pakodi and Paneer Pakodi as starters.
