Boechout is a Belgian town of 13,500 inhabitants in the Antwerp region. The town has had a railway connection since 1864. The station is on the Antwerp - Lier - Hasselt railway line and today has two platform tracks. Both platforms are connected via the Heuvelstraat level crossing. The goods loading was closed in 1987. With the conversion, in which the platform of track 1 was moved to its current position, the station building lost its importance. Today the building houses an Italian restaurant. The station is served by two local lines approximately every half hour.
