Bishnupriya Manipuri Language known as Kathe-Akkabat Language in Myanmar | Extinction Stage

Online live Interview with Kathe-Akkabat ladies was done by Santosh Kumar Singha from India and Chandra Kumar Sharma from Myanmar in first quarter of calendar year 2021. The language is in the final stage of extinction. The ladies are saying that their parents and grandparents used to speak the language among themselves but did not teach their children due to some unknown reason. They can recall some words of the language which they could hear when their parents used to speak among themselves but they are not in a position to make sentences and speak the language. If we could reach to the parents of the ladies when they were alive, we would have surely got Kathe-Akkabat people speaking their own language.
