2 Corinthians 13:5 (NKJV) 5 Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified. 1 Corinthians 11:27-29 (NKJV) Examine Yourself 27 Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. 28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup. 29 For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body. Hebrews 9:11-12 (NKJV) The Heavenly Sanctuary 11 But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation. 12 Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. Christ has obtained eternal redemption for us. If Christ has obtained something for us, we can’t go back to God and ask for the same thing that has been already given to us. Redemption was for our benefit. God values the blood of Christ Jesus. The life of anything is in the blood. With his own blood he shared his life with us. The enternal nature of God’s finished work is that this that Christ has done for us cannot be undone. When God looks at us, what he sees is the certificate presented by Christ. In the Old Testament between God and men there were sins, now there is Christ. The believers have been reconciled back to the father through Christ. Examine yourself in the light of the finished work of Jesus. Colossians 2:13-15 (NKJV) 13 And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, 14 having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. 15 Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it. In Adam we are sinners, we are dead and separated from God but in Christ we have conquered sin and death. We have now been made alive in Christ. His resurrection removes us from the conscious of death. He that is joined with the Lord is one spirit and therefore inseparable. Our focus is no longer on our faith, it is on the finished work of Christ. We are the generation of Christ. Ephesians 1:7 (NKJV) 7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace Colossians 1:12-14 (NKJV) 12 giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. 13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. God has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints. What Jesus we have, posses and is who we are in Christ.
