Mall Tour - The Bon Ton Mall (aka Autumn Mall) at Park City Center
I’m back! Our journey through Park City Center continues in the Autumn Mall, which was originally anchored by Watt and Shand, an independent Lancaster-based department store until the early 90s. Watt and Shand only had one other location, a massive flagship store at Penn Square in downtown Lancaster, which is now home to the Lancaster County Convention Center and Marriott Hotel. Both stores were acquired by The Bon-Ton, but the flagship store closed within a year. The Park City Mall store lasted 25 more years until the entire Bon Ton chain went out of business. The first floor of the building is now Raymour & Flanigan Furniture, but the second floor is still abandoned. We’ll explore this portion of the mall and examine the stores that have surrounded The Bon Ton over the years. Plus, stay tuned for some nostalgic photos of the mall from the 70s and 80s at the end!
