Fair Pay for Bank Staff - strike day 1

Members of Unite the union staged a demonstration outside the Bank of England on the first day of a three day strike. It is the first strike at the Bank of England for 50 years. Workers at the bank have been driven to take action after many workers were getting less than one per cent pay increase (some getting nothing at all) which equates to a pay cut. Unite have been calling on governor of the Bank of England, Mark Carney, to intervene and make a fair pay offer to low paid staff.
