Ruslan Olehovych Bortnyk is a renowned Ukrainian political scientist and expert, director of the Ukrainian Institute of Politics. He graduated from the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy with a bachelor's degree in political science and a master's degree in philosophy. He also holds degrees in law and economics. He worked in the civil service for over 11 years as a consultant to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. He is a co-author of over 500 parliamentary bills and media publications, as well as six books.
