TEDxRheinNeckar - Vera F Birkenbihl - Warum Unterricht an deutschen Schulen nicht funktionieren KANN

Ms. Birkenbihl was the first speaker we were able to secure for our event. As head of the Institute for Brain-Friendly Working, she conveys valuable new approaches in her numerous speeches, books, and DVDs, true to the motto: Ideas worth spreading. With wit and charm, she manages to communicate these ideas to the audience and, through short exercises, actively engages them in the new insights. She also enjoys poking fun at herself. Despite her advanced age, she knows more about Twitter and her iPad than many teenagers. She even owned an iPad before it was officially released in Germany. From this, we conclude that she hasn't lost her childlike curiosity. This is an approach we also want to emulate for those interested in TEDxRheinNeckar. Therefore, we like to describe her as "TED in German." ... The TEDxRheinNeckar team is very much looking forward to Ms. Birkenbihl joining the event via live stream despite her tight schedule and sharing her ideas for improving the world with us. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)
